ICP, or Insane Clown Posse, is an American hip-hop duo formed by Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. The group is best known for its hip hop, horrorcore, rap rock, and rap metal genre of music.
In 1989, ICP came into existence while working with other artists under the name Inner City Posse. They later changed the name to Insane Clown Posse in 1991.
ICP made its musical debut with “Carnival of Carnage” in 1992. The duo became successful with their fourth studio album, “The Great Milenko”, released in 1997.
